22 years of teaching all ages to swim
Learning to swim is an important life skill but being able to swim opens up so many other amazing water activities. I have taught 8 week olds - 68 year olds, it’s never too late to start learning. Whether your goals are water confidence or training for triathlon, we’ll refine your technique to make you as efficient as possible.
Swimming has many health benefits, it builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. It helps us maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs. Swimming provides us with an all-over body workout that has zero impact on our joints so we can all enjoy it even when our knees start to creak!

Most main stream swimming lessons start from the age of 3, however, it is also very popular now for swim schools to offer swimming lessons to babies as young as 8 weeks. My personal advise is to start as soon as possible as there is a much stronger chance of learning to swim unaided at a younger age, but also from a younger age it is more natural for children to develop water confidence and skills to help them achieve this.

Usually I offer x1 60 minute lesson per week, this time can be shared between friends/siblings or for one swimmer. Of course, sessions times and sessions can be tailored to suit your needs. For example, half term crash courses or 30-45 minute sessions for younger swimmers.

Yes, I follow the National ASA Swimming Award Schemes. When a child has completed all of the requirements for an award they will receive a certificate and a badge. The stage awards will see them through from complete beginner to competitive training.

I know that it is an extreme luxury to have your own swimming pool. Currently, I am not working for any swim schools but I am more than happy to recommend swimming schools and instructors as well as offering any advise on your child’s progress.
